NEED CLARIFICATION ON LINE RATES - Shiva - 30-03-2014

My friend is offered the below rate for doing HT full time, direct upload.
DU-0.80 p/line
Target lines per shift = 1200
Total shifts = 25 (25*1200=30000 lines/month)
(Night shift incentives+
Attendance+performance
+target bonus) = 5000 (2500+1000+1000+500)
Take Home = Rs. 26000

My Question here is
DU - 0.80 p/line
Target is 1200 per day for 25 working days (night shift)
25*1200=30000 lines; 30000 lines*0.80 paise=24000 Rs +
Add incentives as the target is reached with full attendance and performance.
Total amounts to 24000+5000= 29000 Rs.

I am feeling a discrepancy in the salary slab. Can anyone please clarify me whether am right or wrong.

Well, personally, 0.80 p is too low for DU work. Yeah, but you have to see whether its pure transcription, then the offer is no good. On the other hand, if it is on some platform like escription (which I doubt) than offer stands good. But again, for DU in pure transcription work one should be get a minimum Rs. 1.30 to Rs. 2.

Your calculation seems to be right. I think they might be offering PF, Insurance, etc for which there would be deductions. In anyway, 3k deductions does not sound good. He should clarify those with the employer.

The usual practice is you send the invoice sheet (which is made in XL sheet) by the end of the month to the employer and get paid accordingly. Any discrepancy in the actual payment and the expected payment should be clarified by the employer. The most probable reason might be that tds was deducted @ 10.75% which amounts to almost Rs. 3000 for a salary of Rs. 29000 for which The MT should get form16a by the end of the financial year.
