Future of the medical transcription industry - Saniabanu - 16-12-2010 Friends, In recent times there has been a lot of noise about the changes in the way Healthcare is going to be documented in the US. In spite or maybe because of so many voices being raised for and against the MT sector I think we have started realizing the importance of the role played by us in the healthcare sector. Voice recognition software was one of the threats faced by our sector, we have proven that they still need us! Now Electronic health records have come and we will once again prove that they need us. Those of you who think like me raise your voice. Being seen and heard will help this industry survive. Bye Sania RE: Future of the medical transcription industry - latha - 16-12-2010 As stated in some other post, I think, voice recognition has increased the line count we need to produce putting pressure on us. Yes, though there are new technologies introduced into medical transcription, still they need us as hiring US workforce is relatively costly and read that Americans are not interested in making a career in medical transcription as the pay is less compared to other jobs. RE: Future of the medical transcription industry - rashmi - 30-06-2011 With the advent of new technologies, medical transcription industry's future looks bright. New fields are coming up and new jobs are popping. RE: Future of the medical transcription industry - rockyarora - 10-05-2013 The new technology has made the transcription process of doctors easy going. Now they needn't to write more as the voice recognition software easily prepares document of what the doctor speaks so now doctors can easily use their time in taking care of patients. Technology is boon for us!!
