I will endorse the views expressed by the themt10@gmail.com and jutamaro. Newcomers who are looking to enter into medical transcription training and dreaming of doing home medical transcription should think a thousand times before joining such home MT courses. Fees once paid will not be refunded. Lots of people are losing their money by joining such courses. I joined a Bangalore based home MT training institute and completed the course but they failed to provide job after successful completion. Then they referred me to Andhrascribe. I again spent some money for that but they failed to provide any job. Then I joined a small company for peanuts of 3,000/month (there no full time work, work only up to 1 pm). after 3 months that company closed and they did not pay 1-1/2 months salary and disappeared. With that experience I joined a big MT company and they paid peanut of 3,000 Rs/month initially and after 6 months experience they pain 8000/month. After completion of one year in that company when I asked for home transcription they declined. I then joined a small company which gave limited amount of work with 6000-7000/month. After 8 months that company stopped giving work to home MTs. Then I wandered companies in search of home transcription. Then I joined a medium sized company who are gave 10,000/month. After completion of 4-1/2 years in that company of home transcription work also they are paying on line count basis within 12 to 14,000/month only. I have total 6-1/2 years experience still no use. Dictations are very tough and not possible to make more than average 500 lines per day and line count rate is 0.95/line. This is the fate of home transcription. My advice is that do not join home MT course in a hope that it pays 30-40 thousand Rs/month as described by advertisements. This is a field of slavery of foreign nationals.
