You will need some training to work in MT field.  Age really does not matter as long as you are able to listen and understand English in American accent and type the same, need some acquaintance with medical terminology and good grammar.

Please don't suggest them to join in MT production team, rather if someone or any company needs MIS team to look after workflow issues through mails/chat and phone call alerts to MT/QA team, preparing daily xl sheets of all employees, forwarding feedback mails to respective staff members. Remember they are now 51 in age, can't work under pressure in production. If their communication skills are good enough, better give them a chance to work in MIS.
