Anyone seeking additional information than what has been posted by us in our thread can call us or email us... that was the very purpose of our post in the first place.

Also, I urge members not to share information about any client or accounts; that will not be good...

I am glad to say that 8 members from the forum have contacted us so far and 3 of them have taken up the test and cleared, the others have been scheduled to test over the next week.

P.S. we still have Team Lead positions open, but preference is given to internal recruitment (which is a company policy) - so it is important for aspiring candidates to join and prove their worth; references and reputation do not count, only performance and merit.

Apart from the quality process we handle by our QA staff we outsource work to around 23 vendors from across India. Do you expect us to talk about each and every account we handle to prospective employees?

Which company mentions which account they have and from which location.

About not making the queues visible to the QAs, we have already said enough about it. Nothing to add there.

About the TL positions, you very well know we cannot be expected to have one TL for every QA we have. We had the Ad for a short while and got a lot of applications and once the requirement was met we delete that post. Reasonable right?

Yes, no TL or manager will be entertained based on his or her reputation alone. We always bring them in to the QA level and they will have to prove they deserve the job. If a TL himself does not understand quality how will he manage QAs?

By the way we still have a TL position available and we will be internally promoting a QA soon.

One last word, it is essential you mention whether it is Australian, United Arab of Emirates, or Canadian.  Otherwise, we will assume it is American.  It makes lot of sense.  I will not discuss why.  Do not take it easy if an editor is selected, because HBT do not resign or stop working with previous provider once they receive your offer letter.  Good luck to you.

We can talk about the account if asked for in person or on email, I understand it is important, but still feel it is not to be discussed on a public domain.

We do understand that each person has a monthly requirement (money) and if an employer is not able to satisfy the need, they look to augment their income by working in other places. We are aware of some of them who do it. Even though it is not a good practice (from the company stand point) we are okay with it as long as the person can give us the required time and effort we need; beyond that they are free to do what they want within the framework of HIPAA, the NC/ND agreements and ethical standards. I would only say that instead of working in some other place, they should try working more/extra in the place they are involved; (I am aware in most places it is a rat-race to do the lines before it runs out - mostly due to overstaffing) - at least we at iData have enough work to accommodate QAs achieving their daily targets and more. Yes, there will be light volume days due to holidays etc, but on a month-on-month basis, QA will have the ability to do the lines he/she wants... We expect staff to complete their targets within the prescribed shift time (that automatically takes care of TAT), and after that they can log in any time they like and do as much as they want, no limits.

As for the quality deductions that got mentioned, we have one of the most moderate deductions you may have heard of in the industry... no swords hanging over the head all the time...there is no meaning in imposing hefty penalties and still allowing QAs delivering poor quality to client ... We believe each one will do their best, and have our controls to ensure that it is true, but when the best is not enough - you know what happens...right?

I would like aspiring candidates to ask... "Do I have what it takes"?

My only concern is that every alternate day, this advt. is irritating factor.

Transmys, u first read the post and then comment who started the meaning of FORUM, don't need your valuable advise. You are the person who told about CANADA, AUSTRALIA and what not.

IData and JD, you have your policies keep it with you..don't canvas it on a large scale, every individual in mt industry knows how much he/she earns and can earn.

HBT one good thing for employer is nobody can catch their collars, since they are situated somewhere else and employee some where else.

Now you are erupting about TL position, then why do you advt. that time in NAUKRI. com.

So first make the HAY and then market it...still seeds are sown and you have started highlighting your policies.

Anyways a good debate, really migrated every one's mind.

Seems like you are very happy with your current employer. Good for you, enjoy.

I hope we have been able to highlight what we do and what we want.

Somehow, I am reminded about what they say - "it is easy to wake someone who is sleeping, but very difficult to wake someone who is acting to be asleep..."

We have had some luck with quite a few enquiries and confirmations, and most of them are not even posting or writing on the threads... happy to reach out to the real candidates.

I did not discuss about any account in the public domain.  Just spoke about the country of origin because one of our fellow MT raised some valid questions about getting used to it in a short span of time !!! in documenting the words and abbreviations and other specs associated with the country.

Sad  No deviation from this discussion, but for information of all.  Look at the other saddest part of the industry, guys and all.  Just two days back the BT (British Telecom giant) announced and made up its mind to withdraw its call center jobs about 80% of them located in Delhi and Bangalore to go back to Britain and more to follow suit.  The days are not far off soon when we can hear MT jobs gone back to USA.  Is future secure in this industry?  80% of Call Center jobs loss means many will be left unemployed and dont know how many of those employees will suffer.  

Not sure about MT industry fate!!! Better look at other side of opportunities too just in case the lid blows off..... Undecided   This point that I made has very some ramifications for both MT company as well as empties (MT).  If Britain does, America will follow suit as both are brothers.

Both sides, wind is blowing and finally the curtain will be down one day if this is the trend.   Confused

JD Sir,

I applied for the QA post 6 months back but did not give the test at that time.  Some details given at that time are different, now there is higher salary offered.  This offer is for the same qa position?
