When I first did my training at a "reputed training institute" and proudly produced my certificate at 2 companies that I applied for, they were shocked that I did not have online experience or do work on files at the training institute.  They sneered at my certificate and indicated I could use it to wipe my butt after doing my business.  I have not done it so far and now it has been about nine to ten years.  If anyone needs it for the abovementioned purpose, please do contact.  It does not have my photo so no problems.

As for your training course, you are simply nuts.  You are planning to manufacture money by raking in the "training course fees" and fooling potential MTs.

Sell tea or paan.  Who knows, you may become an emperor of India instead of the Prime Minister.

No chance of Working from home until you have worked in office on all types of accounts (including plenty of lousy audios and/or dictators for 2-3 years). I too had got suckered by the renowned Shri Venu Gopala Rao Sureini of Andhrascribe, Hyderabad, on online training with broken promise of a job on successful completion of training. His training material comprised of material that he had collected from various free MT training sites. Nothing was from his own so called production units which I am sure were only on paper. My case was different.  I had already worked in office for a couple of years after taking an office based 6-month course with a production unit. On starting to work from home I had taken this online course. I was under the impression that Andhrasribe would provide me exposure to working on various online platforms which alas was not the case. He too issued me a worthless certificate on completion and wanted me to carry out a similar program in my area, i.e., get suckers for him. Best to take training in house with a reputable training institute or production unit. However, keep in mind that MT is a very professional and demanding skill that pays peanuts. A plumber would earn more than a HMT. In my opinion, general/business/media/etc. audio/video transcription are no better. BEWARE. Most of these firms posting online training are going through a lean period made worse what with the Christmas/winter holidays around the corner.

I will endorse the views expressed by the themt10@gmail.com and jutamaro. Newcomers who are looking to enter into medical transcription training and dreaming of doing home medical transcription should think a thousand times before joining such home MT courses. Fees once paid will not be refunded. Lots of people are losing their money by joining such courses. I joined a Bangalore based home MT training institute and completed the course but they failed to provide job after successful completion. Then they referred me to Andhrascribe. I again spent some money for that but they failed to provide any job. Then I joined a small company for peanuts of 3,000/month (there no full time work, work only up to 1 pm). after 3 months that company closed and they did not pay 1-1/2 months salary and disappeared. With that experience I joined a big MT company and they paid peanut of 3,000 Rs/month initially and after 6 months experience they pain 8000/month. After completion of one year in that company when I asked for home transcription they declined. I then joined a small company which gave limited amount of work with 6000-7000/month. After 8 months that company stopped giving work to home MTs. Then I wandered companies in search of home transcription. Then I joined a medium sized company who are gave 10,000/month. After completion of 4-1/2 years in that company of home transcription work also they are paying on line count basis within 12 to 14,000/month only. I have total 6-1/2 years experience still no use. Dictations are very tough and not possible to make more than average 500 lines per day and line count rate is 0.95/line. This is the fate of home transcription. My advice is that do not join home MT course in a hope that it pays 30-40 thousand Rs/month as described by advertisements. This is a field of slavery of foreign nationals.

when companies are badly in need of MTs, they provide good environment to new MTs.

Otherwise, all companies including small and big trouble even senior MTs, usually home-based MTs with bad authors, not providing lines, late salary.  There is no limit for this.

Transcription has changed over these years significantly.  Everybody agrees that age old class room training do not provide good exposure.  Evaluate new online MT training and comment.

Home MT profession has not remained a lucrative career nowadays. Companies are using home MTs as slaves, no proper remuneration to the efforts of home MTs. They force MTs to work overtime, no extra pays for overtime. They force home MTs to work on Sundays also and no extra pay for working Sundays. No holidays to any Indian festivals etc, no holidays for Indian national holidays also. People who are thinking to enter into home MT field should think very carefully. Even coolies can also get more remuneration than home MTs nowadays it seems. It is better people chose any other profession where some independence is there like self-emoployment of any type.

After becoming graduate, one cannot become coolie, tailors, electricians or some other things.  Every field has its own problem.  80% of the people are happy.  Only marginal people got affected due to bias and other things.  It is just bad luck.  Rates have increased over the past 1 years and it is very positive.
