Every VRS provider uses variety of tools and manual processes to convert the voice to text. It needs manual intervention and analysis of voice.
Err...why don't you list here the variety of tools and manual processes that you employ?
To everyone interested in giving voice recognition a try, I will sell you Dragon Naturally Speaking Medical 9.5 at Rs. 1000.
Mod Note: Don't post links to pirated software.
What you need is Audacity 2.0.2 software. Audacity is a free, easy-to-use and multilingual audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. For Windows suitable for 2000/XP/Vista/7 both 32 & 64-bit operating systems. Audacity supports 16-bit, 24-bit and 32-bit samples. One needs to improve the clarity of speech. With this free software one can also record music off vinyl records, cassette tapes or minidiscs. It will take time to master Audacity. After that you play the same through Dragon for which most probably one will need a 16-bit non-integrated good quality sound card and microphone. Read more at and here.
Best of luck.
Do not ever be taken in or dream of becoming a home-based medical transcriber fresh after training. At least not until you have had 2-3 years full-time office-based experience in multispecialties.
